Technically speaking, it's an incremental step forward from last year's gorgeous Modern Warfare reboot. Environments and faces in particular look excellent. Nothing is ever as it seems in a gripping single-player. Black Ops Cold War will drop fans into the depths of the Cold War’s volatile geopolitical battle of the early 1980s. Finally, a word about Black Ops Cold War's graphics: while I wasn't able to get a look at the Xbox Series X or PS5 version in time for this review, it is really impressive on mid/high-end PC. The iconic Black Ops series is back with Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War - the direct sequel to the original and fan-favorite Call of Duty®: Black Ops. You can beeline through this or really take your time skulking around to explore every option. When I am at the main menu and select Campaign I get the message: You are missing one or more Single Player DLC Packs. Yes, there are plenty of KGB goons to stealthily choke out and hide in lockers, Hitman-style, but more fun is deciding how you want to achieve your objective without firing a shot. Can’t play Campaign in Call of Duty Modern Warfare I recently downloaded and installed Call of Duy Modern Warfare, including Campaign Pack 1, Campaign Pack 2, Multiplayer Pack and Special Ops Pack 1. If that sounds familiar, it’s because something very much like it was the highlight of Call of Duty: World War II back in 2017. Instead, it’s an undercover romp through an enemy-infested government building.
